[Solved] vsftp: “500 OOPS: bad bool value in config file for: ” (escpecially in multi user config)

There are two points to check for:

• did you write: option=YES
  (try not to use blanks, empty lines, take care for lower/uppercase)
• did you transfer the config file from your windows machine to the server with transfer setting “text”?
  (especially the files placed in “user_config_dir=/etc/vsftpd/users” – the FTP/WinSCP/… maybe guesses binary as default)
